Looking for ways to deepen your meditation (Dhyana) and to add other elements into your practice?

You've gotten into a steady consistent practice of meditation (Dhyana) and your looking to add to your practice to create a different experience. There are many ways to add to your meditation practice!
The Breath

Add Pranayama (Control of the Breath) to your practice before you meditate, take a pranayama online class or in studio class. Learn, read and find a technique that works best for you. This art brings awareness to the breath. Reshaping breathing patterns. Prana is vital energy of the universe.
Create a dedicated room or space to meditate
Create or find a place that is quiet and you can use as a space dedicated daily meditation practice. Remove any distractions. Meditating in nature is a great way to start new meditation experiences.
Consistency
Meditate at the same time everyday for the same duration of time.

Consider using mudras and visualizations. There are many guided meditations on YouTube that guide you through lovely visualizations. Mudras are symbolic hand gestures. The specific hand gestures and positions act as “locks” to guide energy flow. Mudras have been an integral part of many Hindu and Buddhist rituals.
Get Inspired
Read books and articles to get inspired and deepen your understanding of your personal practice. Take meditation class and mindfulness classes. Incorporate mindful living into your life.
