Do you have the urge and calling to meditate but for some reason just never really get to it?

There are 1000's of articles on meditation and its benefits emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. Its said to have been around for thousands of years, and has led us here - sitting on our bed at 6 am trying not to fall back asleep and actually meditate this time!
Coming in with ease
"To rise above the modifications of your mind, when you cease your mind, you cease to be a part of your mind - that is yoga" - Sadhguru
Don't force it, if a million thoughts come at once, allow them, meditation doesn't mean all your thoughts and worries magically disappear, it's simply the awareness that these things are not truly who you are. This doesn't mean our mind is our enemy, but that we gain the awareness of identification with it. We begin to see ourselves more clearly through the process.
You only need 2 minutes.
This was something that I needed to hear. Your meditation practice need only take 2 minutes. Once I got into the daily practice of meditation I was meditating for 20 minutes a day and felt really proud of "myself". This didn't last long and eventually I convinced myself I don't have 20 minutes a day to meditate and besides, I'm too tired before bed. All the excuses in the world came up, and some were valid too (all are).
The point being if its 2 minutes when we go to the loo, or before bed or when we just wake up, take a deep breath close your eyes and observe chitta (the mind, reason, ego), the incessant stream of thoughts that are constantly flowing.
"Meditation means dissolving the invisible walls that unawareness has built" - Sadhguru
Time your sessions, add a minute everyday (to your hearts desire) to ease into meditating for prolonged periods. Practice with patience.
